I used the MDTZ kit to replace a pile of missing retainers all over my 2003 Subaru Forester. I replaced retainers in the fender well mud guard, the air dam (radiator support splash shield) and my air intake resonator assembly on the engine.
The clips fit snugly, snapped and set firmly and retained their assemblies tightly.
The clips’ tops look superficially different from the OEM Subaru clips they replaced, but this doesn’t affect their function.

The clips are a great value and replaced worn and broken Subaru hardware perfectly. A large amount is included so they should last for many jobs. The included clip removal tool was very useful and worked great.
